Dates within the calendar should be one of the most effective methods for derailing yourself from losing weight and staying lean seen to humanity, unless you have physic abilities this has to get just about the most futile ways to weight reduction bar none. This is how it normally goes... I will lose X quantity of weight by Christmas, my birthday or whatever other event you might have thought about. What actually happens is that this... the tiny gremlin in your thoughts starts saying "hmm you've been about this diet intermittent fasting for weight loss one month and still have only lost four pounds and by that date around the calendar you must have lost another ten". This is all or nothing thinking, and normally results in the statement "to hell with this, I am weak willed, a failure" or whatever other limiting label you would like to attach to yourself. All because, either your expectations exceeded reality, or perhaps your time scale just wasn't realistic and took no account of plateaus or a thousand the other other tricks one's body can enjoy for you. Setting an arbitrary date could be the same in principle as putting your personal foot around the back of the neck. It's pressure it is not necessary and can in turn trigger a difficult need.
If you are a psychological eater you'll use food yet again to take away these bad feeling... can you understand the vicious circle once you are caught in.
When you realise that it is lifestyle change that's needed on the long-term rather than another diet that is certainly determined to failure before you even start, then and only then will you be able to keep weight off and even more importantly keep it off.
A lifestyle change doesn't need a finish... it does not take way you happen to be,there is absolutely no returning to the way things were before, as if you need to do then you happen to be destined to repeat exactly the same pattern over again.
